Yes, yes, if you can believe it or not, I’m back with another blog. If you’ve known me for any stretch of time, you’ve probably seen, read, interacted with, or ignored my senseless ramblings into the internet. That includes blogging; a hobby that’s woven its way through my life on the net since I was using Windows 98 SE with Macromedia Dreamweaver or FrontPage Express. It’s manifested in various different forms – teenage/20’s angst, stream of consciousness, automotive whatnot, and so on.
Alright, so where we going from here?
I have no idea, but over the last few months of homelabbing and the last few years of car modifying, I felt the need to document the what’s and how’s and why’s of it. Wrapping up a hugely satisfying upgrade of my home TrueNAS server, deploying a Proxmox cluster to play with, digging more into Docker, modifying my 2017 Audi Allroad to the heavens, and repairing the up-and-coming-as-a-classic 2007 Audi RS 4. All of that has been an absolute blast, and despite my potential audience being a sum total of like, five, I’d like to sit down and have a chat about what it all is, what it all does, and how I did it.
So if you’re into nerdy crap in any capacity, hang tight and stick around. There’s not going to be any rhyme or reason to when things get posted, but I’ll try my best to categorize and tag things that go together. Leave a comment, say hello, and don’t ever hesitate to ask a question.
